This is a comedic picture of Lou, taken in the Toronto Metro's Queen Street station. We saw the lettering on the wall at the same time, and both of us decided it made an amusing background for a photo. Now, if we could just find a subway station on Cocksucker Street, we'd have it made.
Lou is my partner of over ten years. He first signed on to The Pier as a user in 1988, and we met soon after. Over time, Lou's involvement grew to the point that he was running the board almost as much as I, and a lot of what the system accomplished couldn't have been done without him.
Like Darwin, Lou has survived the move to rural Pennsylvania, although the apparent dearth of hot men and good times is pretty depressing. He's often a prick - half the time, I'm convinced that if he applied for a job as a professional bastard, they'd reject him for being overqualified - but I love him and without him, I would have gone insane a hundred times over ... and that's just this month!
Lou has lately "gotten into" leather in a big way. On October 18, 1997, Lou won the position of 2nd Runner-Up in the Mr. Northeast PA Leather contest, held at the Silhouette Lounge in Scranton and sponsored by the NE Pa. Leathermen. If you'd like to see a few more pictures of Lou from the contest - as well as read his entry in the "written fantasy" segment of the competition - click here.
On October 17, 1998, Lou won the position of 1st Runner-Up in the 1998 Mr. Northeast PA Leather contest, just missing the top spot by a margin of 33 points out of a possible 1,500. I wish he'd won, but that's a damned good showing! Lou also took 1st Runner-Up at the 1999 Pennsylvania Mr. Drummer / drummerboy Competition in Philadelphia, in the "boy" category. He hasn't competed since, preferring to concentrate on his career.
